Georgetown Upsets Villanova Basketball adventure

Monday night we made our way into the heart of China town to find the Verizon Center, home of the Capitals hockey team, the Wizards basketball team, but on this night it was the local Jesuit college Georgetown University men’s basketball team that made it their home court against the fifth-ranked Villanova men’s basketball team. Georgetown pulled off the upset in dominant fashion with a 78-58 win inciting a rushing of the court by the Georgetown student body. The Hoyas improved to 13-5 on the year while handing Villanova only their second loss of the season. The game was not sold out, but comparing the level of play along with the energy of the stadium to that of the Brooklyn Nets game, I would say that the college game was by no comparison more enjoyable and exciting to watch. Thank you D.C.
