In Photos: Inauguration Unrest

It has been an incredible experience documenting history in the making. It was an honor to be at the inauguration this morning and document the peaceful transition of power. Witnessing the riots here in DC has been crazy. I have never heard so many explosions, helicopters, screams, and sirens. There are so many voices to represent and it has been incredible to capture them all.

Great photos. I saw some great signs at the Spokane Women’s March today.

These pictures are terrific, Hannah. I love the diversity of marchers you captured. There were a variety of reasons people came to march and I think you accurately depicted the range and the emotion of the marchers. Well done.

These are INCREDIBLE, Hannah. They capture the protests perfectly. Each sign embodies an individual struggle. You chose perfect snapshots to encapsulate the events of the day. I especially love the photo of the flowers. What a perfect moment of peaceful resistance.

Hannah, I wish I had the photography talents you have. The way that you are able to capture such crisp images, as well as tell a story at the same time. These images described the protests perfectly, right before they went bad. I cannot wait to see what other photos you took throughout the trip!
